Detail meeting and grad schools

I was kind of ticked off earlier when no one showed up for the Detail meeting to finish up our design projects. So after an hour and half waiting I left. I really should have the team lead give me the design room key since I'm the only member who is always early to our meetings and I often like to stay late into the evening when time permits. I've decided to just wait until monday and have a stressed out six hours of CATIA work. So I came home and continued to upload items to ThirdsphereNet while researching Grad...

Doctor Who “The Unquiet Dead”

Rather enjoyed Doctor Who tonight. I'm finding the show something to glee over. (meyerlemon would be proud of the gleeing.) Possible spoilers behind the cut Thoughts on The Unquiet Dead: The episode was an amusing and interesting take on zombies, ghosts, psychics, seances, aliens, and what not. A rift in time and space. Was slightly annoyed at the Doctor insisting Rose get into an outfit but he remained in his usual clothing but allowed my glee to over ride it. I mean she would stand out a bit in modern clothing. Liked the commentary about different mentalities and different moralities...

ThirdsphereNet update

Well, it looks like the new incarnation of ThirdsphereNet is going well even if I feel like my brain is melting from all the coding, uploading, tweaking, and such to get everything back up and running. I think it will be worth it when all is said and done. Still organizing everything and working on all the internals to the site but it's looking pretty decent. For those interested or would like to give some suggestions/feedback you can see the site at the following temporary addy: ThirdsphereNet. There isn't much there on the main page yet and I haven't activated...

Back from PHX

Finally back from my short trip down to Phoenix. I had intended to be back yesterday but events prevented that. I had a prety good time despite not accomplishing many of the things I had planned on. Had fun visiting friends I hadn't seen in a while, repairing a friendship with an ex-beau, hanging out with scar_bsg75, and visiting family. I probably should have just stayed in Prescott and finished up work with the Detail team but it was a good break. Tomorrow, going back to the school to work on Detail project so the team can get ahead of...

Doctor Who “Rose” & “The End of the World”

Well I have to say that I rather enjoyed the Doctor Who episodes tonight. I think the show is off to a good start. I'll definitely be watching more episodes. More thoughts and spoilers behind the cut. Overall I think I'm going to enjoy this new Doctor Who series. It has a good balance of irreverence and humor along side the seriousness and drama. It's always refreshing to see a science fiction show that also doesn't completely take itself too seriously. I like that Eccleston's Doctor is a bit more dark and edgy while still maintaining the slightly foppish demeanor....

New experience…

Whew! I think I've just experienced one of those uniquely excrutiating moments you never expect to have in your life: snorting peppermint schnapps through your nose. (Never drink schnapps and read amusing posts at the same time.) Ack!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day

Well I haven't been a very good Irishwoman today. (Okay I'm only part Irish in descent.) Totally forgot it was St. Paddy's Day. So...Happy St. Patrick's Day!! Oh fare-thee-well, Ireland, my own dear native land It breaks my heart to see friends part, for it's then that the teardrops fall; I'm on my way to Amerikay, will I e'er see my home once more? For now I leave my own true love on Paddy's green shamrock shore. -- excerpt  "Green Shamrock Shore"( Hoist up a drink and sing a song, but please do so responsibly. )

Miscellaneous stuff…

Finally this crazy week is over and Spring Break has begun. Now I just have to decide whether I want to take part in one of the 5 week summer programs to Europe or China. Choices are China (Beijing), Poland (Warsaw), England (London), France (Tolouse), Germany, Greece, Italy or a mixed London-Paris exchange. I should probably apply for the London-Paris or the London ones since either will fill out the last of my technical electives for graduation but Greece, Poland, and China also have drawn my interest as well. Then again maybe I should apply to all of them since...
