The Stars are Cold
by Karolyn Gray

The stars are cold tonight. Not that it is any different on any other night. The stars are all ways cold. It's just the way of things out here. The Uncharted Terrirotires are no place for some one like me, yet here I am. I should be home with my friends, my family, not here on a biomechanoid ship wondering who I can and cannot trust, worrying over what danger awaits me at the next commerce planet. It is this uncertainty I hate most and yet have come to accept. I don't have a choice.

"D'Argo. Crichton needs your assistance in the maintenance bay."

"Understood, Pilot." I reply gruffly as I take one more look at the stars through the terrace.

Yes, the stars are cold tonight.
