gray goes old skool, tho not ghetto

I'm not sure why but I felt the urge to wander through one of my old favorite stomping grounds from when I first gained access to the Internet and the WWW: Usenet. Of course, I had to go about it in a round about way (Google Groups to be specific) since my ISP no longer supports NNTP. (Bastards! j/k) Too bad 'cause I have a nifty client I can't use now unless I pay extra. (Not happening!) Still it was fun to once more be browsing those lovely alpha numeric groups the seem to exist in an infinite multitude: alt.2600, alt.3d., alt.rec, alt.tv.*, etc., etc. I was surprised to still see some of the old groups still running along happily. It was amusing to see some still arguing about things years out of date, as well. Usenet - Proof that timewarps exist! :)
