More BSG “Hero” thoughts

Warning: Spoilers for Hero Okay, aside from my mind being now all twisticated thanks to now completely frakked up timeline (more on that later) I did get to thinking a bit more on Adama. I've decided that I Adama's actions and reactions are in character for him, if a brought on a bit suddenly (or a bit late, depending upon your perspective) into the storyline. We've always known Adama feels thing much more deeply than he wants people to see, especially with regards to protecting those under his command. Bulldog's arrival brought back a reminder of Adama's failure to protect one of his crew in addition to any lingering guilt he's had over the destruction of the Colonies and then abandoning the civilians on New Caprica. Twisted Timelines I know many have commented on the timeline being screwed up by last night's episode. I'd have to agree considering everything we know. The time line below is just estimated from memory and might have errors. Items in red are apparent contradictions in timeline brought up in Hero. Year               Event ~2 y ?? Mos        Bulldog returns to Galactica ~2 + 4 mos         Battle of New Caprica ~1-2                   Colonization Occupation of New Caprica ~1                       33 to LDYB 0                         Cylon Attacks on the Colonies -1                        Adama commands Battlestar Valkyrie on black op for the Admiralty* ~ -2                    Zak Adama's funeral. Starbuck goes to Galactica. -20                      Adama and Tigh meet (Scattered) -28                      Adama knew Tigh (Hero) Adama says he's known Tigh for thirty years.* -40                      Armistice with the Cylons -42                      Bill Adama joined the Colonial Fleet *Like I said, the discrepancies kind of twist the mind a bit. Either that or I've misunderstood the mentioned timelines in the show. Okay, enough wasting time on this...
