Today's been a strange day. Sick as dog but all challenge fics I was writing got in (woohoo!) and seem to be liked so far (a more enthusiastic Woohoo for that). Unfortunately I likely won't be writing any fic for a week or so do to end of semester work and impending finals. On the plus side, if I don't screw up any classes I'll be graduating next semester without any problems. I still have to get Dr M to sign off a waiver (again!) indicating my ten years drafting experience should count for the pathetic CAD class they require...

BSG Fic: After the Rebellion [3/3]
Chapter 6 “Perimeter check.” Apollo spoke quietly into his receiver as he eyed the rows of seat rapidly filling with guests. “Able team, all clear.” “Bravo team, clear.” “Constellation team, clear.” “Starbuck?” “All clear, Apollo.” “Copy. Starbuck meet me at the podium, the President should be here in a few minutes.” “Copy that, Apollo.” A few moments later and Starbuck nodded at Apollo as she gave the rear of the stage a quick once over and signaled it was clean. Apollo blew out a short huff in annoyance. ...
BSG Fic: After the Rebellion [2/3]
Chapter 3 Lee couldn’t stop the yawn that stretched his jaw taut as he trudged the rest of the way from the flight deck towards quarters. He felt bone tired, none of his usual post flight buzz running in his veins. He supposed he should not have bumped Hotdog off the CAP following the ceremony, but he had thought it a good idea at the time to burn of the restlessness that had crept up on him during the post-ceremony festivities after being informed by Billy that Roslin wanted to hold a joint forum with the Commander aboard...
BSG Fic: After the Rebellion [1/3]
Prologue “Don’t make me regret this, Lee” “I won’t.” She should have realized from his cocky grin and the strange, hungry glint in his eyes they were going into dangerous territory. But she had ignored her internal warnings, dismissing her sudden nervousness because it was her friend, Lee Adama, who had challenged her. The same Lee who had bailed her out of the brig more times than she privately cared to admit. Zak’s brother, her superior officer, the CAG, and the man who probably knew her better than anyone left alive. That didn’t stop her from...
Still feeling like crap, but less so than yesterday. Taking a break from for tomorrow's Prob & Stats exam and making changes suggested by the beta for both Seventh Life and After the Rebellion fics. Beta seemed to like both fics, though I'm still uncertain about After the Rebellion. Something just seems to be missing from that one, some kind of spark. Maybe because it feels rushed or incomplete to me. Oh well. I just hope the readers like it.
The Triangle
Well, after seeing SciFi's little half hour promo for The Triangle I'm convinced it's decent enough to spend sometime watching it. I mean it has Rock O'Bannon, Dean Devlin, and Brian Singer as Exec Producers, not to mention Sam Neill, Catherine Bell, and Lou Diamond Philips so that's a bonus to me. Hopefully the story is half decent.
Well I finally finished my BSG ficathon story and sent it off to the beta for a quick edit. After the Rebellion at around 5,000 words isn't quite what I wanted it to be, but I hope whoever it was written for likes it. With some more time, I'm sure it would be a lot better, but you know how it is with RL interfering in plans. My Dradis challenge entry at around 850 words is back from beta and needs some editing but it's looking pretty decent. Seventh Life has a little twist on the Olympians/Lords of Kobol I...
Hmm. I'm starting to get nervous about whether I'll be able to finish my bsg ficathon fic. I probably shouldn't since I've only got another chapter to write but the fic is at 5000 words already. Ack! Probably just flailing over nothing. At least my Dradis entry is done and undergoing beta right now.
