Just a few (4 to be precise) BSG icons I made while trying out some few techniques. All but one are mildly spoilerish for Season 3 and so are under the cut. 1 Starbuck 1 Adama/Lee 2 Apollo
Warning: Spoilers for US Viewers! Doctor Who "Christmas Invasion" Basic Plot: The Doctor suffers from problems with his regeneration while the Sycorax threaten Earth on Christmas Eve. Comments: Nice to see Rose's Mom and Mickey again. Hmm. Bit of rough landing for the TARDIS there, eh?Prime Minister Harriet Jones. Nice to see she's still as focused as ever. So much for Guinevere I Space Probe.Well that gives a new meaning for Battle of the Band...sort of. So much for a nice, quiet Christmas. "Pilot Fish." Drawn to him by the excess energy of his regeneration. Interesting, if mildly puzzling. The...
Doctor Who...yeah! Doctor Who! Doctor Who...yeah! Doctor Who! Heh. Okay. I am a little gleeful about Doctor Who's return to SFC tomorrow, especially since we get to see not only "New Earth" but the Christmas Invasion before that. And of course the DW marathon during the day (even though I'll be in classes for most of the time). 🙂 *whistles the DW theme*
Warning: Spoilers! Eureka: "H.O.U.S.E. Rules" Basic Plot: When Carter considers leaving Eureka after an accident, SARAH starts acting strangely. Comments: So Carter saves the guy trying to blow up the lab and gets shut down after risking his life. Yeah I'd be a bit annoyed in such an instance."It's a sick day." Carter playing hookey.Day 2: Still looking for a place in Baja and Cacun Taggart and Jo playing paintball."Since you wont shower, should I mist you with vanilla?" heh.SARAH called everyone important to him the house to deal with Carter and protect Eureka. Think SARAH's gone a it beyind...
Nothing spoilery here just a general comment on the show. I liked the premiere episode but I'm not certain yet if I will watch the show regularly. There were some interesting points and characters but there were others that were lacking. I'll watch a few more episodes to decide whether to add the show to my regular viewing list or not. It does have some interesting potential but it also could easily fall into some boring stereotypical plots. We'll see. Okay, I lied. I do have some spoilery comments under the cut. I think my favorite characters so far are...
Bored. Boredy-boredy-bored. Not sure why, but I am. I should be glad since it means I've finished everything for school and what not. There are a dozen things I could be doing online (update website, catch up on blogs, fics, and forums, etc) except I feel absolutely no motivation to do so. Maybe I'm just tired or something. I did make some new icons today inspired by the forthcoming season of BSG. Some are good, some not. That's too be expected when experimenting with graphics. Again, not feeling motivated to even bother uploading them tonight. I think'll I'll go to...
Okay, not yet. There's still two weeks until BSG returns. It's odd. BSG 3 is starting soon but I'm not gleefully awaiting its return as I did with 2 and 2.5. I'm guessing this is due to the hit and miss nature of BSG 2.5 in stories, characterizations, and character interactions. Still the webisode, spoilers and assorted articles have kept my interest alive and well. I'm actually more excited at the moment to see the return of Doctor Who to SFC. Now, if I could just get some time set aside to finish those fics I've been writing I'd be...
Warning: Spoilers! I didn't feel like doing much in depth reviews tonight so it's mainly just commentary. Stargate SG-1 "The Quest" Basic Plot: The hunt is on to find Merlin's weapon, the Sangraal, to fight the Ori. Comments: Tricky, tricky ancients.Well, Vala has taken to Earth comforts.Interesting, Vala dreams up the same solution Daniel just figured out.Okay, why did I previously not notice in the opening credits Vala running to catch up and go through the gate with the team?Baal has been here. That just sounds wrong. Got to love the Arthurian legends being applied to the show. A dragon?...
In which I let my childhood obsession over World War I and World War II aircraft leads to some commentary on the amazing lack of accuracy in the upcoming movie, Flyboys. I'd like to see this movie except that just from viewing the commercials I can tell they screwed up, having tons of historical mistakes. Okay, nothing new there with Hollywood, but still. Many of their mistakes are outright ridiculous. Cases in point: Every Dr1 is shown to look like that of the plane of Baron von Richthofen (Der Rote Kampfflieger) (or as he became more famously known as the...
A little late but here's your BDay gift... I hope you had a great birthday.
