Warning: Spoilers Some more ramblings on the characters in 301/302 The New Caprica Edition Saul and Ellen Tigh Saul obviously took a serious beating and torture while in Cylon "detention" and it has just made him that much more of a zealot in defeating the Cylons. His unswerving belief in Adama returning to rescue the population was heartening and even endearing, though I wonder if he had started to have some doubt given the look on his face when they finally received their first message from the recon Raptor hidden in orbit above the planet. I liked that Saul was...
Something non-BSG. Heh. Phwew. I think I've actually caught up with all my flist entries (aside from a couple BSG comms) for the week. Didn't comment much though. I'm glad to hear Eureka got renewed for another season. Yay! Heroes is still good, though I think it'll just end up on my second tier viewing list. My friend D wants me to design another banner for one of his customers. I'll do it, since it's a good way to improve graphic skills and get some minor recognition, though I could tell he was a bit ticked when I reminded him...
Warning: Spoilers! Some rambling thoughts on the characters in 301/302. The Fleet Edition Lee Adama I'm still rather disappointed in RDM & Co's decision to make Lee fat, but if Lee had his buff, pilot physique some of the resonance of the confrontrations with his father would have been lost. Being labelled soft while in top physical fighting form would have been something of a dichotomy, perhaps to the point of unbelievability. The weight gain does fit with his depression from the previous season coupled with feeling useless floating above New Caprica for a year without any real purpose or...
A new BSG rating 3.01 and 3.02 is now available to all here.
Second of two posts on tonights episodes. Warning: Spoilers! Battlestar Galactica 3.02 “Precipice” Plot: The Cylons crack down in response to the suicide bombing by the Resistance and tension mounts in the Fleet over operations planning. Comments: Roslin is in Cylon prison after Duck’s suicide bombing and Baltar tries to cut a deal with Roslin to condemn the growing use of suicide bombings against the Cylons. Baltar refuses to believe the criminal activity the NCP and Cylons have done but he does set her free.Of course Jammer is with the NCP carrying out the Cylon’s detention activities: Cally amongst those...
Wow what a ride tonight. First of two post on tonight's BSG epsiodes. Warning: Spoilers! Battlestar Galactica 3.01 “Occupation” Plot: The resistance on New Caprica struggle against the Cylon occupation while Adama and Lee clash as the fleet struggle to prepare operations to rescue the population trapped on the planet. Comments: Ooo. New opening.Interesting opening montage what with Ellen, Chief and Anders, Adama, et al.Tigh is looking pretty banged up. Though seriously what is up with Cavill and the glasses. I guess we‘re soon to get Pirate!Tigh from now on just so long as he doesn’t say ‘Arg’ or ‘Avast’...
Warning: Spoilers for US Viewers! Doctor Who “Tooth and Claw” (I like to call this the “Bark at the Moon” episode. Where’s Ozzy? That or ”The Werewolf from Space”) Plot: While attempting to reach 1979 the Doctor and Rose encounter instead encounter Queen Elizabeth and a werewolf. Comments: I liked the opening panoramic scene of the countryside. Nice.Okay, someone over in the UK has been watching too many chop-saki flicks. Seriously.“Sky Lab falls to Earth with a little help from me.” Heh.1879. Scotland. And a run in with Queen Victoria. So much for 1979.Torchwood Estate. Heh. Rose trying to get...
Yay! Doctor Who! *bounce* The return of BSG! *glee* Since I have some time I guess I'll have SFC's BSG marathon run in the background while I finish up things around the apartment.
Warning: Spoilers! Eureka Review: "Once in a Lifetime" Plot: Stark gets the chance to use the mysterious object in Section 5 and events are set into motion that change the town. Commentary: Kim and Stark partaking in some test in Section 5's mystery object that leads to a flash of white and we find Carter in bed with a pregnant Allison. Heh. Stark using his scientific credentials to get out of jury duty. It turns out that it's 2010 and Zoe is actually class Valedictorian.Something wrong at Section 5 of course.Ick. Someone got fried. My guess...Kim or Stark. Dr Henry...
Hmm. Well so much for finally updating Thirdsphere tonight. Had to clean up a little wanna-be hacker's mess and pass along his activities and information to the host. You'd think the wanna-be hackers would be better at covering their tracks, you know? Anyway, so my update is delayed which kind of bums me out since I finally have the new layout for the BSG section done and tons of articles, artwork, images, and reviews I wanted to upload. I know I'm going to be too busy in the early part of the week to upload everything so I expect I...
