Sometimes you really have to sit back and laugh at the craziness in the world. Ok, perhaps this is more a case of silliness run amok, IMO. So a friend of mine who knows I watch V (and like the revised series for the most part) sends me a link to: 'V' is for Obama? Not So Fast -- Politics Daily. I read and I get a bit of a chuckle.
The original V was politicized by some with respect to Reagan, this time Obama. Not that surprising really as the revised V simply incorporates the changes in the world since the original V. If another V is made in another 20 years I'd expect that one to incorporate the changes from now until then.
Honestly, it's a television show. You know entertainment. If it gets you questioning how things are done or thinking about the state of the nation/world, that's great. The best televsision shows, science fiction or otherwise, are the ones that get you to think while you're getting entertained. Just keep the fiction and reality separated as they should be.
So bring on the shapely lizard people and enjoy the show.

Well, before I watched the show I thought that it was a bit ridiculous but after watching, I actually thought there were more than a few things that were jabs about Obama, or more accurately liberalism(and stereotypes about liberalism) in general.
Also, I thought it was boring and pedestrian. I wouldn’t care about anything political if it entertained or interested me. I’m not generally into invasion stories period unless they are somehow tweaked. I just don’t think V is for me.
